Forums: Troubleshooting and Problems
Hi Susan,
It works fine on my laptop. I can run MedDRA checks by choosing a version from drop-down box without define.xml.
Regards,
Sergiy
You need to create folders and add MedDRA files first.
See http://www.opencdisc.org/projects/validator/configuring-opencdisc-validator-meddra
As noted in my first message, I did create the 12.1 folder and populate it with the .asc files. I didn't see a MedDRA drop down box when I opened the new version for the first time nor after creating the folder and populating it with the files.
Sergiy, if you let me know where to send it, I can send you a screen shot showing that I have no MedDRA drop down on my OpenCDISC screen.
There was no <entry key="SD:Meddra">12.1</entry> in the interface.xml file (I compared 1.4.1 to 1.5). When I put this in, I now have a MedDRA drop down on my interface screen.
I notice that you no longer select the MedDRA version from the GUI, so it must be using the define. I was checking my SDTM datasets and my define together. I had forgotten that I needed to provide the .asc files for it to check against. So I got notices like "...\opencdisc-validator\config/data/MedDRA/12.1/pt.asc is missing or lacks necessary variables and cannot be used for this cross-dataset validation", that correctly identify the version of MedDRA. I created the 12.1 directory and put the .asc files there. Now I get notices like "...\opencdisc-validator\config/data/MedDRA/%Variable.CodeList.Version|System.MedDRA.Version%/pt.asc is missing or lacks necessary variables and cannot be used for this cross-dataset validation". Something isn't right.
