What’s New in Version 1.1

The latest release is focused on performance and scalability. The validation engine has been improved and tuned to run up to 3x faster at the minimum recommended hardware configuration. The Validator has also been enhanced to take advantage of multithreading and additional memory available on powerful workstations and server environments to scale to validate the largest studies and datasets. Please refer to OpenCDISC Validator Performance and Scalability Guide for further details.

This release also includes 25 other enhancements and bug fixes. Please refer to the changelog for complete listing.

Validation Rule Updates

We are also happy to announce the release of version 1.1 of validation rules for SDTM 3.1.2, SDTM 3.1.1, and Define.xml 1.0 standards. The most notable enhancements are:

  • Updated to the latest release of CDISC controlled terminology
  • Enhanced define.xml checker to validate that codelists are created correctly for terminology controlled variables
  • Added a check for the presence of DM dataset in a submission

For a complete list of validation rule changes please refer to the release notes or review the latest rules posted on OpenCDISC Validation Rules Repository.
