Why do some .xpt files get flagged as "unrecognized domain"? They were created the same way other ADaM datasets I made and they process OK. For instance: ADSL (subject level .xpt file) processes ok in the validator. but ADAE (adverse event .xpt file) openCDISC validator returns 'unrecognized domain'. Anyone know how to manage this problem?

ADSL is automatically recognized since it is a unique and real ADaM dataset.  In the current OpenCDISC rules, everything else is a BDS dataset defined by having one or more of these variables:

PARAMCD,PARAM,AVAL,AVALC,ADT,ASTDT,ASTDTM

Your ADAE does not fit the description above.   We don't support ADAE at the momemt, but it is on our roadmap.  Since this is an opensource project, we have encouraged people to contribute the structure of ADAE in the format required by OpenCDISC (ODM).   We have not received any response.

the work involves creating the ItemGroupDef, ItemRefs and ItemDefs.    These are ODM XML concepts found inthe config-adam-1.0.xml file.
