Hi Paul,

I'm actually not sure what purpose that file serves, but modifying it will not change the controlled terminology checks performed during validation. Changes to the similiar SDTM Terminology.txt file will impact validation, but since this is the controlled terminology released by CDISC we recommend not modifying it (except to replace it with new releases).

The preferred way of validating against sponsor-defined codelists is to include them in your define.xml document, and use that during your validation. The OpenCDISC Validator includes a utility for creating a define.xml with codelists that will be sufficient for the purposes of validation.

Tim

Hi Paul,

The SDTM Terminology Fixed.xml file contains a list of non-expandable (fixed) CDISC code lists. It's actually used to validate the define.xml file. I think we need to change the name so it's less confusing.

Thanks,
Max

Anthony that's nice idea.  We encourage participation and contribution back from the community.   Documenattion is one of the ways members can contribute.   This is probably the most infrequently visited tab on the site, but nevertheless we welcome any help.

Do we have any baseline materials to start with?

Let me throw out an idea: A Wiki page which users can collaborate with OpenCDISC's corroboration.
