When validating using the engine 1903.1 on controlled terminology older than 2019-12-20 I get the "Incompatible engine used" error.  When using the last two releases of the controlled terminology I am getting no such error.  Can you please help resolve this for me.  Is it a IT issue blocking something, or a corrupt controlled terminology file?  I am using Pinnacle v3.0.2 on a windows PC that appears to have automatically updated the controlled terminology.

Thank you for the question.

The first thing we’d like you to try is to delete the all sub-folders below C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Pinnacle 21 Community\configs\data\CDISC\

Once that’s done, as long as you are online and logged in with your Pinnacle ID, Community will download the required terminology before running the next validation. We expect that will resolve the issue. Please let us know if it does not.

Please let me know if there is anything more I can do to help,

Rob

I got the same issue in P21 report, Incompatible engine used Error in Validation summary tab. I tried deleting all sub folder under config and logged in with Pinnacle ID, it downloaded the required terminology but still got the same error. I used 1903.1 engine and 2019-12-20 CT. After that I tried with latest CT but it was still giving error. When I used 1907.2, error was resolved. Does it mean we should not use 1903.1 engine ? (is it deprecated ? )

Hi Paresh,

It's correct. You utilize incompatible engine 1903.1 which is outdated and not applicable for preparation of study data for any of regulatory agencies today.

See https://www.pinnacle21.com/projects/validator/engine-compatibility.

Kind Regards,
Sergiy

Hi Sergiy - We are seeing the same issue (i.e. Incompatible Engine Used) for 1907.2, even when using the latest CT. Does that mean this engine is outdated and not applicable for preparation of study data, as well?

Thanks,

Rob
