Hi Gopal,
I am not aware of any specific formal requirements about the usage of space characters in ID.
However, you would rather not follow such a practice to avoid potential problems in your data processing.
For example, is a trailing space character in your STUDYID variable above represent a part of the real value or not? ( "ABCSTDY-A 101 " vs. "ABCSTDY-A 101").
Also, invisible characters are quite tricky for manual diagnostics.
Kind Regards,
Sergiy
Hi Team,
Can we have a space in-between in STUDYID / USUBJID values? We don't have any specific restriction for providing with respect to spacing for STUDYID, USUBJID variables in IG.
Example: STUDYID = ABCSTDY-A 101 ; USUBJID = ABCSTDY-A 101-001-101
