Hello,

the data files for OpenCDISC contain a variable DVGRPID for 3.1.1. and 3.1.2. But this variable does not occur in the SDTMIMG. So is this an error, and whose error is it? Is DVGRPID legal?

joerg.liebner,

Two places we can check when a variable appears in a dataset that does not appear in the SDTMIG modeled domain tables:

1. SDTM: SDMIG v1.2, section 2.2.4, pg. 15

All of the following Identifier variables are available for use in any domain based on one of the three general observation classes. STUDYID, DOMAIN, USUBJID, and --SEQ are required in all domains based on one of the three general observation classes.

where --GRPID is one of the identifier variables listed.

2. Assumption section of the corresponding domain in SDTMIG: SDTMIG v3.1.2, section 6.2.4.1(3), pg. 118 does not list --GRPID as one of the "would not be used in DV".

Therefore, DVGRPID is legal.

HTH.
