Forums: Define.xml
Hi Manolya,
It looks like a message from the SD0037 check, which compares actual data values vs. codelist in a define.xml file.
Most likely you assigned a wrong codelist (ETCD) to a variable (ELEMENT). Check your define.xml file.

Hi. Thanks a lot for this quick answer! Yes, it is the SD0037 check. But the define actually looks good and the Trial Design (that also includes the ETCD and ELEMENT) is the same as compared to the codelist.
I have for example:
Element: StudyDrug 1500 IU
ETCD: SD_1500
In the define it looks good, in the codelist, too (;-)), but no clue why this issue is coming.
anyway, I might ignore this finding. But thanks a lot for your help! Greatly appreciate it.
Hi!
As much I can see in your example, values for ELEMENT and ETCD are not the same. Your original issue message refers to (ETCD) codelist for ELEMENT variable. This assignment was set in your define.xml file.
I still believe that there is an issue in your define.xml file which needs to be corrected, rather than to be ignored.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer! the values for ELEMENT and ETCD are not the same. This was defined in the Trial Design that was signed by the sponsor.
Okay, I will have a closer look again and let you know. But not sure if I will find out the issue since I am struggeling with it since days:(.
Thanks a lot!
Hi all,
Does the ELEMENT and ETCD belong to the codelist of the define.xml? I put them into the codelist separately and after running the define.xml cdisc checker I got following error message:
"Value for ELEMENT not found in (ETCD) user-defined codelist"
Don't understand what the ELEMENT should be in ETCD.
Could someone help me out?
